Instagram's official deep link for DMs: ig.me/m/yourusername opens a message thread with you directly — no profile stop first.
Why would I want people DMing instead of visiting my profile?
A DM is a conversation, not a browse. Once they're in a thread with you, a keyword automation can answer whatever they send instantly — they arrive already one step into the funnel instead of parked on your profile.
Do chat links work for everyone?
The person needs the Instagram app and your DMs must be open to non-followers for strangers to use it (Settings → Messages). The tool's second output — your profile link — is the fallback for everyone else.
